USMA-WEST POINT 5-7 JAN 2007

The Sandhurst Competition is a grueling three hour military skills challenge held in late April at the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY. Forty-six nine person teams from the United States service academies (USMA, USNA, USAFA & USCGA), several ROTC programs, the Royal Military Academy-Sandhurst (Great Britain) and last two year's victor, Royal Military College (Canada) compete in this highly prestigious event. Prior to Canada’s victories, the British have won every year since the current format began. F2 will be setting their sights on challenging them for the prized Sandhurst Sword.

Our 2007 training began with a discussion about nutrition and exercise. From there, we headed over to the gym and covered exercise form in great detail. They broke up into pairs and ran through a training program while being monitored carefully for disciplined form. We broke for the evening so they could prepare for inspection the following morning. The “fun” never stops at West Point…
